Meet Our Master

Richard C. Matlack, Jr.

Worshipful Master Rick Matlack was born in Wilmington, NC and grew up in Summit, NJ. A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Electrical Engineering he joined IBM in 1967 and relocated to Raleigh in 1969.  WM Rick completed thirty-four years service with IBM in 2002; retired and decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a Mason and Rick was raised in Millbrook #97 in November of 2002.  

Like his father, Rick went on to become a Shriner and currently serves as Director of AMRAN Keystone Kops.  Rick also enjoys several hobbies - golf, shooting and collecting stamps.

In addition to being Master of Millbrook #97 and Director of the Keystone Kops this year, WM Rick is also a charter member of Millbrook’s legendary Iron Chefs.   Members and visitors alike always  enjoy his menu delicacies when he cooks for our lodge. 

Millbrook members look forward to a great year under WM Matlack’s leadership.  Be sure to keep an eye on the “What’s Cooking Page” so you don’t miss an opportunity to enjoy a meal prepared by our Master.  By all means, if his mouth watering Chocolate Chip Cookies appear on the menu don’t bother bringing a doggie bag; there won’t be any cookies left over…
